Day 79 – I used to be so bad at youtube/making videos

Play episode

Welcome to Day 79 of my journey towards becoming a millionaire. Each day is a step closer to our goal, with its unique blend of routine, work, and progress.

A Typical Yet Productive Saturday

Today was a regular Saturday, but with a bit more productivity than usual. Instead of just going through the motions of waking up, working, and sleeping, I managed to squeeze in some video editing both before and after my work shift. It’s these small efforts that contribute significantly to the larger goal.

The Physical Demands of Work

Working a serving job is physically demanding, as evidenced by the staggering 13,000 steps I clocked in today. It’s a constant reminder of the toll a traditional job can take on your body, and it fuels my determination to build a life where I have more control over my time and activities.

Video Creation Workflow: A Game Changer

I want to share with you my workflow for making videos, which has been a game changer. Using keynote presentations as templates has streamlined the process significantly. I use DaVinci Resolve for editing, and the system I’ve set up with keynote presentations has made the task much more manageable and efficient.

The Efficiency of Keynote Presentations

Utilizing keynote presentations for video content has several advantages. It keeps me organized, ensures I cover all necessary points, and provides visual elements to make the videos more engaging. This approach has reduced my editing time considerably.

Balancing Quality and Efficiency in Content Creation

It’s essential to find a balance between producing high-quality content and not burning out. While hyper-edited and visually dynamic videos might fetch more views, they also require significantly more time and effort. My strategy is to create content that is good enough to engage and inform my audience without overextending myself.

Understanding Your Niche and Audience

The type of content and the amount of editing it needs greatly depend on your niche and audience. In some niches, like tech reviews, high-quality production is necessary. In others, like educational or how-to content, viewers may prefer straightforward, to-the-point presentations.

Future Projections and Monetization

While the current financial returns from my YouTube content are modest, I’m optimistic about the future. As the views grow over time, so will the passive income. It’s about playing the long game, steadily building an audience, and providing value.

Closing Thoughts

It’s been a long day, but every step, no matter how small, is a step forward in this journey. I’m looking forward to hitting the three-month mark soon – a significant milestone in this adventure. Here’s to more progress, learning, and growth.

Thank you all for being a part of this journey. See you on Day 80!
