Last night, something clicked for me. I’ve been stressing about where to focus my energy, especially with the social media marketing agency (SMMA) idea. The traditional approach of cold-calling potential clients has never appealed to me. I prefer a more organic method, similar to how I handle affiliate sales – providing a service first, then benefiting from it.
Building a New Website: Highlighting Local Businesses
I’ve decided to create a new website, but with a twist. It will highlight local businesses in my area, serving as a platform to connect with business owners organically. The idea is to feature these businesses for free, gaining their trust and establishing myself in the local community. This aligns more with my natural approach to business – helping first, then reaping the benefits.
A Dual Purpose Strategy
This website will serve two purposes: it will be a standalone brand that can potentially generate its own revenue and also act as a lead generation tool for my SMMA services. By offering value first, I believe it will open doors to deeper business relationships and potential clients who are more inclined to hire me for their marketing needs.
The Challenge of Juggling Multiple Projects
The only concern is that I’m adding more to my plate. However, the end goal is to replace my current income with more meaningful and fulfilling work, freeing up time for my other projects. I believe this is a more sustainable path to my financial goals.
Providing Value First: A Long-Term Approach
The key here is focusing on long-term relationships and value. This approach might be more time-consuming initially, but I believe it’s a more authentic and effective way to build a business. It’s about shifting from a sales-first mindset to a value-first mindset.

Looking ahead, I see the potential to scale this model. Once established, I could create courses or ebooks to teach others how to market their businesses effectively. This aligns more with my goal of having scalable income streams.
