Day 128 – I’ll stay single and just grind

Play episode

Hello, everyone! Welcome back to my journey on day 128 of striving towards becoming a millionaire. I apologize for the delay in updating; the exhaustion from the daily grind got the better of me. Recently, life has been a rollercoaster, especially with the ongoing drama involving my ex. We’re entangled in a lease situation, and the inconsistency of our relationship is incredibly draining. Some days we’re friends, other days not so much.

This situation has me reflecting on my life’s trajectory and my refusal to settle for a mundane 9-to-5 life. I’ve always been determined to build a business and a life on my terms. I don’t want to wake up every day, dreading the job I go to just to pay the bills. I had a similar vision in my last serious relationship, but our paths seemed to diverge, especially when it came to starting a family. I’m not opposed to having a family, but I want to be in a position where I can provide a good life for my children, not one burdened by financial struggles.

Building a Life and Business: The Entrepreneurial Path

After being single for several years, focusing on building my brands and escaping the rat race, I met someone I thought I could build a future with. But unfortunately, it didn’t work out. This experience, though challenging, hasn’t deterred me. Instead, it’s a reminder to stay focused on my goals.

The Journey of Day 128: Embracing Passive Income

Despite the personal challenges, day 128 brought some exciting developments. I’ve been working on diversifying my income sources, including TikTok affiliate sales, YouTube income, and exploring other avenues. I recently discussed the concept of ‘richness’ not just in terms of monetary value but in having control over what you do, when you do it, and who you do it with, inspired by Tim Ferris’ perspective.

Exploring New Opportunities: TikTok Shop and More

I’ve made some progress with the TikTok Shop, seeing sales from affiliate marketing. However, it’s been a mixed bag with inconsistent views and sales. I’m still figuring out the platform’s algorithm. Besides that, I’ve been working on my marketing website and planning to help a friend with her business, which will add to my portfolio.

Personal Growth and Financial Management

I’ve been diving into Noah Kagan’s book, “Million Dollar Weekend,” which offers a fresh perspective on entrepreneurship. It’s a reminder to focus on actionable steps rather than getting caught up in endless planning. In a significant financial move, I paid off one of my credit cards, a satisfying step towards better financial health.

Looking Forward: Adaptation and Growth

As I move forward, I’m contemplating shifting my focus slightly to maintain my passion for my projects without feeling overwhelmed. I’ve also negotiated with my apartment complex to move into a one-bedroom, a practical decision that aligns with my current needs and goals.

The Future is Bright

Tomorrow, on day 129, I’ll share my thoughts on the book and my progress in the marketing realm. I’m excited to continue this journey, sharing the highs and lows with you. Stay tuned for more updates as I navigate the path of entrepreneurship and personal growth. Remember, it’s not just about making money; it’s about building a life you love.
