My focus is on following my OKRs (Objectives and Key Results) and monthly goals. This month, for instance, I’ve dedicated myself to filming bike reviews for my second YouTube channel. This might sound repetitive, but it’s a strategic move to boost affiliate income and build my email list.
The Power of Consistency
I’ve realized that a big part of success is sticking to a plan, even if it seems mundane. Scripting, filming, editing – it’s a cycle that I repeat daily. While it may not be the most thrilling routine, it’s necessary for achieving my goals. This methodical approach is teaching me the value of perseverance and the importance of focusing on one main objective at a time.
Juggling Daily Tasks and Projects
Today, I tackled a different kind of project – fixing my motorcycle. From replacing blinkers to installing a clutch switch, these tasks reminded me of the satisfaction in completing projects. I’ve often struggled with leaving projects half-done, but finishing the motorcycle work has been a rewarding experience. It’s a reminder of the importance of seeing things through to the end.
Conversations and Inspirations
A significant part of my day was a conversation with my friend Nick. We collaborate on a course and a YouTube channel, and our discussions are always enriching. Today’s talk sparked ideas about content creation strategies, such as planning b-roll and thumbnails before filming. Nick’s approach to putting 110% effort into his content is inspiring, and it’s something I aim to incorporate into my own work.
Financial Management and Goal Setting
In other news, I’ve made some savvy financial moves – switching phone plans to save money, and setting aside funds for debt payoff. Balancing work, content creation, and financial management is key to my plan. Looking ahead, I aim to focus on more in-depth projects for my main channel while continuing to work towards my financial goals.
Reflecting on Decision-Making and Pivot Points
Today’s reflections also include thoughts on decision-making and the ability to pivot. I’ve realized that being quick to change direction isn’t always ideal. It’s about trusting intuition and making informed decisions. Learning from these experiences is part of the growth process.
