Day 95 – I might get fired

Play episode

Welcome back to Day 95 of my journey to becoming a millionaire. It’s 2:31 a.m., and tonight, sleep isn’t on my agenda. With so much to do, I’ve decided to push through.

Pushing Past Midnight: A Night of Productivity

I’ve been intensely focused on editing videos – one required more effort, but I breezed through the second one. It’s astounding how restructuring my objectives and key results (OKRs) has streamlined my process. The ‘Future Millionaire Planner’ has been a game-changer in organizing my goals and breaking them down into actionable steps.

Progress and Plans: Affiliate Gains and Future Tasks

The focus on posting more review videos is already paying off with increased affiliate income. While I’m not sure if I’ll hit all 40-50 video targets this month, I’m motivated to script a few more to maintain the momentum. It’s exciting to see how aligning daily tasks with larger goals is creating a positive impact.

Personal Care and Errands: Balancing Work and Life

Despite my focused work, not everything went as planned. I missed out on some personal errands like calling the dentist and checking on a return. These tasks are now on tomorrow’s agenda, along with scripting and filming more videos and organizing my garage.

Financial Efficiency: Cutting Costs

I’m also taking steps to reduce expenses, given the uncertainty of my job situation. This includes switching phone plans, canceling my car insurance, and even reconsidering my Amazon Prime subscription. These measures are part of a broader strategy to streamline my finances and focus on essential expenses.

A Day of Frustrations: Motorcycle Troubles and Work Challenges

Today wasn’t without its frustrations. Motorcycle issues led to unexpected stress, and my workday was marked by inefficiency and a lack of respect for my time. After an hour of being unproductively idle at work, I decided to leave, recognizing that my time is worth more than what I was experiencing.

Reflecting on Time and Its Value

This incident has made me even more conscious of how I value my time. After the recent loss of my grandparents, I’ve become acutely aware of life’s impermanence and the importance of not wasting time on unfulfilling activities. This perspective drives me to make the most of every moment and to seek out work that respects my worth.

Contemplating Career Choices and Future Directions

As I face potential job loss, I’m embracing the possibility and considering what comes next. It’s a reminder to always align my work with my values and goals. The idea of being trapped in a job that doesn’t fulfill me is not an option.

Seeking Community and Connection

I’m also exploring ways to interact more with you all. Whether it’s through a Slack channel or another platform, I want to create a space where we can share expertise and support each other’s journeys.

Wrapping Up the Day

Despite today’s setbacks, I believe in the necessity of taking steps back to move forward. I’ll keep you updated on my work situation and my ongoing efforts to script and produce more content. Thanks for being a part of this journey, and I’ll see you on Day 96.
